We remain committed to the health and safety of our community and our Discovery Centre continues to follow all necessary guidelines.
“When we started this project, we talked about: How do we create a community that is more than just a collection of buildings? How does it become a hub? How does it become a destination? How does it become a place that people want to be?”And our answer to that question was: to make a great community, you have to be a part of a community.” – James Robertson, CEO & President, The Trust
Beyond branding and zoning, the heart of University District beats in the people who will bring it to life. On October 1, 2015, our team gathered with some of the organizations and individuals responsible for developing the University District vision and tasked with executing it to the highest standards. On the very ground they’re setting forth to transform, our partners gathered to officially kick off our project and begin telling our story to Calgary, the country, and the world.
To our partners:
Thank you for your dedicated efforts and for sharing in our vision for this community. From all of us at The Trust, we look forward to a productive future and many milestones to come.
To our community:
We’re beyond thrilled to see dirt move and continue the ongoing conversations about what University District can be. Connect with us, join us, and celebrate with us. University District is about you, and we welcome your input as we move forward.
Enjoy these highlights from the afternoon. We look forward to more news in the coming months.
