The Essence of Refined Living: Uncover the Unique Features at GUILD Townhomes by Crystal Creek Homes

August 22, 2024

With their bold and exceptional townhome offerings in University District, Crystal Creek Homes is aiming to set a new standard for modern, upscale living. We spoke with the Crystal Creek Homes’ design team to learn more about the vision behind GUILD and how their townhomes will offer a touch of luxury and plenty of sophistication.

U/D: What is the design philosophy and vision that guided the development of GUILD?

Crystal Creek Homes: These townhomes are centered on creating inspirational, elevated spaces that are both timeless and modern. This approach is rooted in classic design principles, which emphasize balance, symmetry and proportion, ensuring an enduring appeal. To build on this classic foundation, contemporary elements and high-quality materials are integrated giving GUILD townhomes a sophisticated and fresh look.

U/D: What are the architectural styles, influences and inspirations that shaped the exterior and interior design?

Crystal Creek Homes: The façade boasts a harmonious blend of sleek lines, elegant materials, and contemporary accents, creating an ambiance of refined luxury. A combination of warm neutrals and bold contrasts lends a timeless appeal. Exterior spaces throughout are thoughtfully designed to enhance outdoor living a spacious balcony, a main floor patio and private rooftop terrace. As well, we have incorporated a blend of architectural styles that create a harmonious balance of classic and modern aesthetics. Ensuring cohesion with the existing community and landscape was top of mind.

U/D: How have you leaned into new design trends with GUILD?

Crystal Creek Homes: We have been seeing a lot of warmer tones in design trends over the past year and wanted to incorporate this into the interior of our townhomes. Warm wood cabinets, natural wood flooring and fluted details complement one another throughout the space. We also love the inviting and polished feel that warmer woods create.

U/D: Can you share how classic design principles are showcased in the interiors of GUILD?

Crystal Creek Homes: With a meticulous focus on proportion, highlighting focal points in the kitchen and living areas and ensuring balance and symmetry in the layout, our designers have created a truly refined and elegant feel in each townhome. Detailed mouldings and trim work adds elevated depth and character, lending a feel of old-world elegance.

U/D: What does ‘luxury living’ mean for the buyer?

Crystal Creek Homes: The best of the best! Each GUILD townhome is outfitted with high end finishes, including a custom private elevator in each unit, SubZero and Wolf Appliances, wide-plank hardwood flooring, Dekton Countertops. and custom light fixtures. A stunning rooftop terrace offers panoramic views to create a refined, private oasis. The rooftop is equipped with multiple gas lines, a chef’s kitchen, hot tub rough-ins and a TV conduit, making it an entertainer’s dream. Our designers have considered every detail, blending design and function seamlessly to ensure that homeowners truly feel at home in their stunning new space.

U/D: What are some of your favourite design or functional features that make GUILD unique?

Crystal Creek Homes: We love the private, spacious rooftop patio, offering a gorgeous outdoor retreat perfect for relaxing, entertaining guests and enjoying throughout the seasons.

We also love the convenience offered by a private elevator; enhancing the home’s longevity and ensuring long-term ease and accessibility for the homeowner as well as friends and family. The elevator is also incredibly practical, allowing you to easily transport groceries, luggage, or anything else from the garage to any level of the home, including the rooftop terrace. The private double garage is thoughtfully equipped with EV charging capabilities, ensuring you’re ready for both current and future vehicle choices.

U/D: How has Crystal Creek Homes incorporated sustainability into the design of  GUILD?

Crystal Creek Homes: Our team is very conscientious, ensuring sustainable design is at the forefront in all we do. Material selections include high quality recycled content that reduces our footprint and enables low maintenance living. By incorporating quality finishes, our homes are built to stand the test of time. GUILD is also anticipated to achieve the BUILT GREEN® Gold certification, adding to the community’s sustainability standards.

U/D: How has new technology been integrated into the townhome design?

Crystal Creek Homes: The private elevators in each townhome have a touchscreen display with ‘Smart’ capabilities to be controlled and monitored from the homeowner’s mobile device. Ring cameras are also included for increased safety and convenience.

U/D: What are the benefits of townhome living in University District?

Crystal Creek Homes: Townhome living allows homeowners the freedom that a single-family home can’t, with the ease of a lock-and-leave property. Many of our clients value the ability to travel easily and not have to worry about outdoor maintenance.

U/D offers an exceptional location, providing residents immediate access to a vibrant community, where all amenities are within easy reach.
