Seniors Living

Age in Place at University District

In partnership with the Brenda Strafford Foundation, we’re redefining retirement homes in Calgary. Seniors and the aging population are invaluable to a thriving community and we’ve ensured our community plans include helping our aging population stay connected to the things that matter most. We’re creating that symbiotic relationship within University District – where the aging population is at the forefront of our thoughts and we are creating innovative ways to connect them to the community.

U/D is about everyone thriving; and about having the resources, programs and facilities available as resident’s needs change over time. And we couldn’t ask for a better partner in that mission than the Brenda Strafford Foundation.

CONNECTIVITY

The 240 room Cambridge Manor focuses on enhancing quality of day-to-day living through dining, recreation and education services. With an adjacent Independent Living facility called Maple by Truman, families requiring multiple levels of care and support can easily spend time together with a +30 breezeway connecting the two buildings.

AGE IN PLACE

Cambridge Manor will be one of the few facilities to offer the continuum of aging in place with supportive living and long term care services, while being connected to Maple – a dedicated independent living facility. Physical mobility and comfort needs changing? Not to worry. The therapeutic care offered to senior residents and neighbours in the community supports wellness, bringing comfort and security with every treatment. The community is designed to help you age in place; to not have to leave your community as your needs evolve over time.

Community + Integration

Being active, healthy and connected contribute to a better quality of life. And with our vision for creating an urban school connected to the senior’s facility, residents will have every opportunity to contribute to the next generations, pass on experience and insight and reconnect with play. We’re promoting interaction and connection over solitude, and encouraging vitality to flourish by integrating different generations. We believe in the power of community – and can’t wait to see the longevity that meaningful connection makes.
