“There’s something for everyone. Young professionals, retirees, students, families. It makes the whole place feel alive.”

Jorge, Resident

“I was one of the first residents. When I worked at Ronald McDonald House I could walk to work and not rely on my car.
We used to live in the suburbs, now, we can walk to get groceries, meet friends for coffee, or see a movie.”

understanding leasehold land at u/d

When you buy in University District, you own your home, but lease the land from the University of Calgary. It’s a 99-year lease: long-term, secure, and fully mortgageable.

You can finance, renovate, sell, or pass down your home just like any other. When you sell, the lease transfers smoothly to the new owner with a few standard steps. It’s a smart, stable way to own in one of Calgary’s most celebrated communities.
