Dog Park Show: Contest Rules & Regulation

1. ELIGIBILITY
1.1 Eligibility: Dog Park Show and Contest is open to all residents of Canada except those residing in the province of Quebec, and excluding employees and Board Members of West Campus Development Trust and our sponsors, vendors and partners.
1.2 Must be present to win, odds of winning depend on total number of entrants in each category. No purchase necessary. One entry per person per category and must be over the age of 18.
1.3 Contest Period: On July 14, 2019 contestants may participate in the Contest by signing up to participate in the Dog Show and Contest between 1 – 2 pm.
1.4 Contest Entry: Upon registration in the Dog Show and Contest eligible participants will be entered into the Contest for one (1) chance to win (i.e. one entry) the Prize, under the applicable category out of four(4) categories, Biggest Dog or Best Dressed or Cutest Dog or Best Trick.
1.5 Contest Entry Restrictions: Participants are restricted to one (1) entry
via completion of the Dog Show and Contest Registration in selected category.
1.6 Awarding of Prize: The Prize will be awarded to the participant who was been selected by three judges on defined criteria and who has complied with these Rules.
1.6a Overall Rules
Participants are able to enter all categories but must adhere to all the rules and criteria of each one.
You may use only positive dog training methods.

1.6b Biggest Dog:
Will be judged by its overall weight. First place will be awarded for the highest weight amount.
Dog should be healthy.
Weight of the dog should be relative to its bread type and weight chart.
Scoring criteria: Winner will be the dog with the highest amount of weight.
1.6c Best Dressed:
Style (5 points)
Attention to detail with accessorizing (Hats or Fascinators are not mandatory. (5 points)
Grooming and deportment (5 points)
Originality (5 points)
Costumes and props must be worn and carried with no risk of injury to the dog. (5 points)
Mobility. The dog must be able to walk with ease in the costume without being carried. (5 points)
Scoring criteria:  Dogs can score up to 30 points. The total points between all three judges will be added together. The dog with the highest total cumulative points wins.
1.6d Cutest Dog:
Judges will score each dog with a ‘Cute Factor’ from 1-10.
No outfits allowed. Dogs with outfits should enter Best Dressed contest if they wish to dress up their dog.
All dogs must be well groomed.

Scoring criteria: Dogs can score up to 30 points. The total score between all three judges will be added together. The dog with the highest total cumulative points wins.
1.6e Best Trick:
Presentation (5 points)
Difficulty (5 points)
Agility (5 points)
Response (5 points).
Contestant must be able to present their trick on a 9 x 12 stage. Each contestant will have 2:00 min to present their trick presentation. (5 points)
All contestants must provide their own trick tools (i.e. hoops, stools, balls, ribbons, etc.) to present their trick.
Microphone and music is welcome, but not necessary.
Scoring criteria:  Dogs can score up to 25 points. The total points between all three judges will be added together. The dog with the highest total cumulative points wins
A form of government issued photo ID is required to claim prize. The winner agrees to release of name and photo for a public announcement via email campaign and social media.

2. PRIZING
2.1 The Contest Period will be as such: participants will be allowed to submit one registration on July 14 during the registration period of 1 – 2 PM in the applicable category. Submissions falling outside of this range will not be accepted or treated as a valid entry.
The prize will consist of:
One Puppy prize pack with approximate retail value of $100 for first place in each category for a total of four (4) prizes. The Prize must be accepted as awarded. No cash alternatives, substitution or transfers of the Prize will be allowed.
2.2 Notification of Selection: Winner will be notified onsite, and the winner’s names will be posted in a email notice as well as on University District’s social media channels. By entering the contest you consent to these provisions. If the selected winner cannot be contacted within 2 mins, the second place entry will be award as winner and the initial selected winner will be disqualified and will have no recourse towards West Campus Development Trust or anyone involved in the Contest. No substitution for, or transfer of the Prize, will be allowed. The selected winner will be awarded their prize on site.
3. GENERAL RULES
3.1 By participating, all entrants acknowledge and agree that they have entered the contest of their own free will, that the full rules and details of the contest have been made available to them and they therefore understand and agree that neither West Campus Development Trust nor their sponsors or their respective employees have any liability with respect to the contestants’ participation in the contest or winning a prize and are not liable for any damages out of acceptance and use of a prize. By entering this promotion, participants agree to be
bound by these rules.
3.2 West Campus Development Trust shall not be responsible for incorrect or inaccurate transcription or registration of Contest entry information, technical malfunctions, lost/delayed data transmission, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, faulty, incomplete, incomprehensible, or erased computer or network transmissions, line failures of any telephone network,
failure of computer equipment, or software issues or any other error or malfunction, or any injury or damage to entrant’s or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from a winner not being notified of being a winner.
3.4 The Contest is subject to all Federal, Provincial and local laws, as well as the rules adopted in view of said laws.
