Financial risk management is a key component of the University District Master Plan. Through regular research, knowledge of the local market and proactive relationships with partners, our goal is to match the right opportunities at the right time with the right buyers. Precise and rigorous internal processes also aid in keeping financial risk low, while balancing the inherent risk associated with land development for a project of this kind.
University District is a first of its kind in Alberta in that the community is built on land that will remain fully owned by the University of Calgary. All proceeds from the project will support the university's ongoing academic mission.
