Calgarians to Gather for Local and Handmade Goods, Live Music and More at the University District Night Market

In collaboration with Marketspot, University District (U/D) is gearing up for its fourth U/D Night Market of the season on Wednesday, August 27, 2025. This free outdoor celebration brings together local artisan vendors, live entertainment and family-friendly fun for all ages. Held on the last Wednesday of each month through September, each market offers a fresh lineup of activities and experiences to discover.

What: Calgarians will enjoy a vibrant evening filled with artisan vendors, entertainment and interactive fun. DJ Joash Charles will kick things off with an electrifying set. A live performance by local musician, Brett Cassidy will be followed by Safire’s Hula Hoop Show. She dazzles crowds with her jaw-dropping show which includes a playful, hands-on Hula Hoop Playshop where guests can join in the action. To cap it all off, Luc Roach & The Electric Band will take the stage, delivering a high-energy finale guaranteed to get everyone on their feet and dancing.
