When and Where to Visit the Sales & Discovery Centre

The Sales & Discovery Centre welcomes members of the neighbourhood, as well as those exploring the community. Conveniently located at 4410 University Ave NW, the Sales & Discovery Centre offers a welcoming and “one-stop-shop” space to explore University District’s unique offerings, future developments and many amenities within the community.

Here are the current visiting hours:

• Monday: Closed
• Tuesday to Thursday: 1 pm – 7 pm
• Friday to Sunday and Statutory Holidays: 12 pm – 5 pm

The Sales & Discovery Centre features multiple builder suites where you can explore the layouts and offerings from award-winning builders with available residential units in the community.

What You Might Find

The Sales & Discovery Centre offers a range of immersive experiences designed to inspire and educate visitors. Rhonda, the Customer Experience Ambassador Team Lead, shared what guests can expect during their visit.

Rhonda says “Upon arrival, guests are greeted by a Customer Experience Ambassador who tailors their assistance based on the purpose of the visit. The space features several builder suites where visitors can explore beautifully crafted displays and gain inspiration from various floor plans, layouts and design features to find their perfect home.” Featured developments include Dean’s Landing by Rohit Homes, GUILD by Crystal Creek Homes, and Magna by Jayman BUILT.

Beyond residential offerings, the Sales & Discovery Centre highlights the vibrant community, including nearby parks, shops, services and dining options. Guests can also learn about future developments, community amenities and rental opportunities including The Forge by Vivenda Group and Encore at University District by Gracorp Properties.

The Sales & Discovery Centre offers a variety of 2D and 3D maps, information brochures and access to sales representatives from U/D’s builders, along with other valuable resources to help you find exactly what you’re looking for in University District.

Rhonda has been welcoming visitors to the Sales & Discovery Centre since 2017. With her deep understanding of University District’s community amenities, she’s here to make your experience both enjoyable and insightful. Here are a few fun facts she shared about the space:

• The Sales & Discovery Centre is pet-friendly, inviting visitors to bring their furry companions, where they can enjoy treats and fresh water during a visit. Visitors can also learn about all of the pet-friendly spaces in the neighbourhood and what they offer.
• The Sales & Discovery Centre’s Community Experience Ambassadors are ready to make you feel right at home during your visit. Whether you’re craving a refreshing cold drink or a comforting cup of coffee or tea, the team has you covered.
• We know exploring a new community can take time, so we’ve created cozy seating areas for you to relax, speak to an ambassador or browse resources about what University District has to offer. 
• When a new condo or townhome development is announced, the Sales & Discovery Centre hosts public builder launch events with entertainment, food and drinks. Explore The Interactive Model Table Map 

The Sales & Discovery Centre’s interactive model table offers a dynamic, hands-on map experience of the community. Designed by The Rapid Eye Movement team, this cutting-edge installation features a hybrid architectural model paired with an interactive media wall. Blending traditional analog techniques with modern digital innovation, this creative approach to architectural visualization earned the Rapid Eye Movement the Ember Award for Innovation and a nomination at the International Architectural 3D Awards. Visitors can explore different areas of the development by selecting features on a tablet, with the 3D model lighting up and animations playing in real-time.

“Visitors are wowed by the user-friendly technology and the imagery,” adds Rhonda, who sees most visitors interact with the model table when they tour the space. Built to evolve with the development, the display incorporates new buildings and animations as the community progresses. The innovative tech behind the installation provides an engaging and evolving look at the community, making it an essential feature of the Sales & Discovery Centre.

The interactive model table identifies residential buildings, retailers and services within U/D. Community additions are continually added for the most up-to-date display.

The Evolution of The Sales & Discovery Centre 

Since opening in 2017, the Discovery Centre has seen remarkable growth and transformation. “What started with just two builder suites featuring concept maps and imagery has expanded to include two additional suites,” Rhonda shares, “This allows us to showcase more builders and offer visitors greater inspiration.” 

She adds, “Modern updates have been made to the model table and media wall, incorporating both current developments and future plans. There’s now a dedicated touchscreen highlighting University District’s Retail Main Street retailers, along with a separate presentation screen focused on purpose-built rental options.”
